Have you ever given thought to what constitutes a salad?
No really, have you? Merriam Webster Dictionary says that a salad is any of the various “usually cold dishes” including raw greens, vegetables and toppings served with a dressing or small pieces of food which are usually mixed with a dressing or set in gelatin.
But I’ve developed a simpler salad theory: uniformly sized bites, mixed, with a dressing.
